We are delighted to introduce our newest version of Praxedo, which incorporates key features designed to significantly improve your work order management. Driven by a strong commitment to continuous innovation, Praxedo aims to meet your business needs with practical and high-performance solutions.

Here is a preview of three major advances that will positively impact your daily efficiency with Praxedo:

New! Crew schedule:

Do your field resources work in crews whose members change over time? Do you need to schedule and manage specialized assets or vehicles for a particular work order? The Crew schedule module is designed to meet your expectations by simplifying the allocation and monitoring of your critical resources.

Video assistance with ViiBE: 

Are you looking to improve work orders diagnostics and reduce their failure rate?  Video assistance helps define the work order context more precisely and provides remote expertise to the field resource on site. To streamline your operations, we have further enhanced ViiBE’s integration with Praxedo and made it easier to leverage video reports using AI.

Appointment Portal:

Trim down the time spent scheduling appointments by giving your customers the freedom to schedule or reschedule their work order at the time that suits them best. This not only reduces the risk of no-shows, but also significantly improves customer satisfaction. And to better address your specific needs, new settings are available to improve scheduling.

Major Improvements

1. Crew schedule

With the new Crew schedule management module, you have all the tools you need to optimize your crews’ productivity, control your costs and steer your performance. Essentially, pooling critical assets, such as specialized vehicles, to share them, can lead to costly scheduling conflicts. That is why we have redesigned the interface to provide you with a comprehensive and intuitive view that focuses on managing your crews and “rare” resources.

 While the schedule view available in Praxedo already lets you associate equipment with your field resources for an indefinite duration, this new module allows you to organize your crews over given time periods. As a result, you can now define different crews from one day to the next.

In addition, when you need to use specific assets or vehicles for certain work orders, this new module offers you the option to organize your crews based on this main resource (a specific vehicle or a field resource with rare skills). This way you optimize these resources’ allocation, minimize idle periods and you are reactive when faced with the unexpected.

 And also, in order to provide you with a centralized view to identify in a glance your available resources and field resources simultaneously, this new interface allows you to customize the information presentation according to your preferences (color choice, data to display on the work order tile, etc.).

Finally, to help you monitor your performance better, this module gives you the option to display an indicator for each resource. For example, you can use an indicator to track the potential revenue generated by each field resource based on the work orders assigned to them.

2. Video-assistance with ViiBE

ViiBE integration with Praxedo

Imagine this: one of your customers suddenly experiences a breakdown. With a simple ViiBE video call to a remote expert, the problem is quickly diagnosed.

 If the problem cannot be solved remotely, using ViiBE’s integration with Praxedo, a new work order can be created in Praxedo, in just one click from the video call you made using ViiBE.  The call archives and documents are available directly in Praxedo. No more tedious data entry! The teams in charge with the next stages of the work order have all the context details on hand to be more efficient and increase your customers’ satisfaction.

Video call summaries with ViiBE AI

Would you rather spend your time focusing on high-value tasks rather than watching long video recordings? Thanks to the artificial intelligence built-in ViiBE by Praxedo, analyzing your video reports becomes instant, saving you considerable time and increasing your efficiency.

The video summary feature uses AI capabilities to provide you with the summary of a video report, to highlight key moments from the call and to generate relevant tags (useful for future analysis of triggered video-assistance calls). This way, you no longer need to watch the entire video again. A quick glance gives you an overview of the call’s key insights.

Here is an example: after a call regarding the repair of a piece of equipment, AI automatically generates a summary of the key points, highlights the critical moments and adds relevant tags such as "calibration" or "faulty part". You crews can then easily find the key details they are looking for — whether it is the field resource trying to understand a previous diagnostic, or a new hire training on a specific piece of equipment. And you can also retrieve the summary by creating a work order thanks to the ViiBE-Praxedo integration.

This functionality turns your video reports into a rich knowledge base, making it easier to standardize practices, allowing your support teams to streamline customer service and accelerate decision making when facing recurring problems or specific spare parts needs.

3. Appointment Portal

Since the Fall 2024 release, you can make your customers’ life easier while optimizing your appointment scheduling services. As soon as the work order is qualified, your customers can receive a link to the new Appointment Portal to easily schedule an appointment. They can also reschedule it if needed, in case of unexpected circumstances. They can also track the approach of the field resource in real time on a map, as well as their expected arrival time at the site.

By offering an enhanced experience to your customer, with flexible and transparent appointment (re)scheduling, you considerably reduce your dispatchers’ workload. This is achieved by automating the search for the ideal time slot (or to reschedule when needed) that fits the customer’s availability. As a result, customer satisfaction is improved, first-time fix rates are increased (less risk of no-shows) and you build optimized schedules as you go.

Thanks to our new settings, you can customize the portal precisely to suit your business constraints and process! You can now also define:

- limitations to prevent last-minute rescheduling of too many work orders (particularly when the field resource is already on the way),

- a distance or travel limit to optimize the work orders’ allocation to your field resources,

- the start and end time period during which the time slots are offered.

Praxedo Web Enhancements

Continuous optimization updates

With Continuous optimization using AI, when you want to optimize your field resources’ routes for the current day, while accounting for unexpected events on the field (a work order that takes longer than expected or on the contrary, a customer who is a no-show), let the SmartScheduler make the necessary adjustments on its own, and in real time. Thanks to AI, our optimization engine takes over and runs schedule optimizations continuously without your having to intervene.

For this new Release, the limit of continuous optimizations by user has been eliminated to give you greater flexibility in managing your strategies. Therefore, a user can create as many continuous strategies as wanted, but will become limited by the field resources’ crew he selected in the strategy.

Optimize schedules based on the field resource’s execution speed factor

A year ago, we introduced a new setting in field resources profiles: the execution speed factor.

As a reminder, this setting option allows you to adjust the estimated duration of work orders based on each field resource’s work pace. For example, an experienced field resource may complete work orders faster, while a junior field resource may need more time to complete the same assignment.

Previously, this factor was only factored in by the SmartScheduler. It is now also applied to standard scheduling — when you are scheduling from the work order details page, in addition to the map view and bulk scheduling.

Scripts now available on Praxedo Web

To ensure data entry from the field is even more reliable, we have extended the power of validation scripts to the Praxedo Web application.

This feature — already widely used and appreciated on mobile — helps reduce the risk of input errors and ensures a more accurate report, especially when managing complex work orders or large volumes of data.

With this enhancement, you can now ensure the information collected directly from the web application is complete and accurate. This also reduces the risk of re-entry errors when work order reports are processed from the web.

Enterprise SSO (Single Sign-On)

For many years, we have been making it easy to access Praxedo using Single Sign-on (SSO) “Social Login”, enabling your users to sign in with their existing credentials.

Now, Praxedo allows you to connect your own enterprise Identity Provider (IDP) for even more secure and streamlined access.

 Here is a quick reminder of the difference between the two SSO methods:

  • Social Login: Your users can log in to Praxedo using their social media credentials (Google, Microsoft, etc.). This method is convenient for users who prefer not to create new Praxedo-specific login credentials.
  • Enterprise IDP Login: Your users can sign in using your company’s own credentials (e.g., the same ones they use to access their work computers or professional email). This approach reinforces security and simplifies access management, since authentication is centralized at the company level.

REST API

REST APIs have become increasingly popular due to their simpler, more intuitive approach to integrating and enabling communication between your applications via Web Services. That is why Praxedo continues to expand its offering of REST APIs.

Our newly available REST Web Services now allow you to:

  • Modify skills.
  • View and manage your sites and customers.
  • Retrieve your items list.

The Microsoft Business Central (MSBC) connector and its new flows

Praxedo simplifies integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central through its off-the-shelf connector, enabling automatic data exchange between both platforms. This ensures seamless traceability of your information from one system to another.

 Newly developed data flows enable increased data exchange and enhanced integration between Praxedo and MSBC.

 It is now possible to create work orders in Praxedo and then to view them in Business Central. In addition, field resources activity lists are now accessible within Business Central. Finally, any information from Praxedo that is relevant to a work order is also available in a dedicated section of the Sales or Service Order details within MSBC.

These enhancements ensure data consistency across both systems — whether you create work orders from MSBC, from Praxedo, or both.

Praxedo Mobile Enhancements

🚩Available with all Praxedo plans

The redesign of our Praxedo Mobile app offers you a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. With this new 2025 release, the mobile app has been enriched with several highly requested features:

  • View available and unavailable time slots directly in the schedule view. As a result, field resources can now clearly view their detailed schedule, including training sessions, meetings, emergency time slots, on-call duties, and slots or work orders reserved for specific customer portal users. Learn more.
  • Synchronization of Praxedo’s schedule with the calendar of the field resource’s own mobile device. Learn more.
  • New login process for enhanced security when accessing the application. Learn more.
  • Simplified validation process for service orders: directly access the report of each work order associated with a service order and complete the service order as soon all related work orders are completed. Learn more.
  • Photo annotation during form entry: Field resources will be able to annotate photos they take on site during the work order directly within the app while they enter the form. Available mid-June.

AI Photo Analysis

Since December, you have been able to use AI to analyze photos taken by your field resources — for example, to check image quality, to automatically extract values from measuring devices or from labels on equipment using OCR (Optical Character Recognition), or even to make compliance controls by comparing before and after photos of a work order.

With this new release, we have further enhanced this feature. You can now fine-tune the AI’s capabilities to match your specific operational needs by sharing your requirements with our dedicated team.
